Model 909 |
The Model 909 Dosimeter Charger is capable of charging any self-reading dosimeter. It conforms to ANSI N42.6-1980, and will operate on 1.5V D-cell battery. Unlike other brands of dosimeter chargers, the Model 909 has the ability to "kick" or remove all residual charge from dosimeters properly. Failure to remove this residual charge can cause spurious upscale fiber movement, which can be interpreted as additional radiation exposure or excessive drift. The Model 909 eliminates this problem, resulting in more accurate radiation exposure readings. It is also impossible to damage dosimeter by exerting too much charging force on the charging contact when using this model.
