Model 370 |
The Model 370 End Window Probe is an excellent general purpose probe, providing sensitivity to alpha, beta, gamma and X-ray radiation. The end window is mica with a thickness between 1.8 and 2.0 mg/cm2. This allows detection of alpha radiation as low as 3.0MeV when in close proximity to the window. Beta radiation in excess of 35keV and X-ray or gamma radiation greater than 6keV can also be detected. The detector is provided with a BNC connector. It can be used with most count rate and survey meters which accept Geiger-Mueller (GM) detectors, operating at 900V DC. FEATURES: • Economical radiation detection • Detects alpha, low energy beta, low energy x-ray and gamma radiation • Standard 900V operation • End window GM for greater flexibility of measurement • Combines features of heavier wall beta/gamma probe with end window |
